Levi’s Music Project x Justin Timberlake

Levi’s is synonymous with music culture. Levi’s Music Project is an ongoing brand engagement platform for Levi’s to give back to music communities around the globe–collaborating with iconic artists to provide one-of-a-kind experiences and ongoing music education resources for underserved communities.

In 2020, I led the collaboration strategy and activation program for Levi’s and Justin Timberlake and friends Timbaland, Danja, Rob Knox, and Elliot Ives– returning to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to expand the music education program at Stax Music Academy.

The project encompassed the build out of a new Songwriting Lab, including all musical equipment and support for a teacher’s salary for the next three years, as well as a surprise songwriting workshop and concert for Stax Music Academy students. Justin was so moved by the experience that afterwards he extended his partnership with Stax with a $100,000 scholarship fund and a special holiday appearance of Justin and Stax students on The Ellen Show.
